Psalm 91:2

Psalm 91:2

The first line is lettered in a simple cursive, with the rest lettered in the bold Black Letter style. This truth of God being our refuge and fortress is superimposed on a castle drawn in pencil. Both the strong large letters and the castle represent God's total ability to protect and care for us.

  • Story Behind the Art

Psalm 91 is a powerful portrayal of God's care for us, even in the midst of the ravages of warfar or the blight of disease. He gives His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways (verse 11). I remember years ago seeing this Psalm projected on the screen in the 1942 movie "Mrs. Miniver". (http://www.reelclassics.com/Movies/Miniver/miniver3.htm) May God raise up more film makers to use the truth of His Word to reach hearts. What comfort and courage God gives us through this Psalm!
