This verse is done in the Black Letter style, with a Lombardic first letter and blue highlights. "Thy work" and "Thy glory" are emphasized with blue and shading. This is a great prayer!
Story Behind the Art
We chose this as our family verse for 2017. This was our first year to have Calligraphy for Christ to be our primary means of support. It has been fascinating and sometimes downright scary (in my flesh) to step out by faith in this ministry of God's Word! The Lord has clearly lead us and provided. On the way home from our church's 2017 Good Friday service, a lady from out of town didn't see a stop sign as she approached SH66 from the north, going about 50 mph on the small through road, Ben Payne. We were traveling east on SH66 in our 15 passenger Ford van, going about 50 mph. She hit us in the front tire on the driver's side and redirected us into the wheat field on our right. Praise the Lord there were no major injuries! But our van, which was essential for us to attend three conferences in September, was undrivable and most likely totaled. In addition, the lady's insurance company refused to cover our damages and we did not have the money to do so. To make a long story short, the Lord provided all the money to have the van fixed. All the repairs were made just two days before we needed to be at the first of the three conferences! The Lord clearly answered our prayer from Psalm 90:16!
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
