  • Story Behind the Art

This piece was created by my son Daniel when he was 9 years old. He attended one of my Calligraphy classes and Psalm 4:8 was the verse he chose for his final project. Daniel and the rest of our 10 children, at that time, were blessed by this verse when our family made the move in 2004 from our home and extended family near Columbus, Ohio to Rockwall, Texas where I took a part time job as assistant pastor of Rockwall Bible Church. A lady in the church wanted to minister to our children, so she took 10 white pillowcases and lettered this verse on them, so as the children went to sleep at night, they could meditate of God's care for them in the midst of being displaced from their familiar surroundings in Ohio. What a great blessing Psalm 4:8 was then and continues to be!
