Psalm 127:1a

Psalm 127:1a

This verse is lettered in Fraktur with black ink. The word "LORD", highlighted with gold ink, as the central theme. It is essential to remember this truth. When I have forgotten it and thought I could build without His help, I've consistently fallen flat on my face.

  • Story Behind the Art

This was lettered in 1987 as a gift for Steve and Anne Marie Blakemore on their wedding day. The emphasis in the lettering is the word "LORD". Without Him, none can build a house that will stand. Over the years, we have been blessed to see the Blakemore family grow and allow God to build their home.

  • Translation

    KJV

  • Text

Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it.
