Philippians 4:13
This well-known verse is lettered in Chancery Cursive and Uncial with black and gold inks. The four quadrants around the cross are filled with supporting Scriptures of God's help and power. The way that the two words "THROUGH" and "CHRIST" are positioned illustrate the meaning of our total reliance on Christ and emphasizes the power of the cross.
Story Behind the Art
This is one of the favorite verses of my second oldest daughter, Hannah. When she graduated from high school, I lettered it for her as a graduation present. She has continued to have Christ be her strength. She married Jonathan Smith, a pastor in Washington state. She has many responsibilities as wife, mother of Cara, and helper at church. May Christ continue to be your strength, Hannah!
