Luke 1:37

Luke 1:37

These verses are all done in the Fraktur style with the names and pronouns of God highlighted with gold, outlined, and shaded. Luke 1:37 takes the central position in large letters. The other two supporting verses, Jeremiah 33:3 and 32:27, are much smaller, and are positioned above and below respectively. This reminds me of the film "Facing the Giants" in which a related verse, Matthew 19:26c, is emphasized throughout the film. At one point, a lettered version of this verse is shown in a frame above the mantel - "With God all things are possible."

  • Story Behind the Art

Jane Glosser is an interior designer who loves Scripture. She headed up a project for Trinity Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, TX, to display large framed verses (22"x28") in their new foyer. Their strategy was to have church members volunteer to sponsor the lettering and display of one of their favorite verses. I had the privilege of doing these verses. This is one of the pieces that was matted and framed.
