Isaiah 54:17a

Isaiah 54:17a

The Scriptures are clear - those who know the Lord are in a daily spiritual war (Ephesians 6:12-18). To illustrate this verse in Isaiah, the first letter is made out of two swords and a spear. Two other spears join in the attack. Each one is pointed at "you". In between the lines, Revelation 12:10b-11 explains how Satan accuses us day and night. He is a defeated foe and how he is overcome is revealed in verse 11. All the lettering is done in Fraktur except for the use of Simple Roman for the Isaiah reference.

  • Behind the Art

Jane Glosser is an interior designer who loves Scripture. She headed up a project for Trinity Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, TX, to display large framed verses (22"x28") in their new foyer. Their strategy was to have church members volunteer to sponsor the lettering and display of one of their favorite verses. I had the privilege of doing these verses. This is one of the pieces that was matted and framed.

But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. Isaiah 54:17a

For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12:10b,11
