Introduction to Calligraphy

I have been gifted by God with a love for lettering which began when I was in Junior High. I have taught several classes over the years. My greatest enjoyment comes from lettering Bible verses.

Description:                   Learn an overview of the art of calligraphy, including terminology, tools, and techniques,                                                with step-by-step instruction for Simple Roman. Other classes will be offered later on 

                                        for different styles, such as Black Letter (Old English), Chancery Cursive, Modern Script,

                                        and Fraktur, with an additional layout and design class.

 

Tuition:                            $40 ($10 for each 2 hour session; pay for all four sessions at beginning of first class)

 

Supply list:                      Black Chisel Nib Elegant Writer Calligraphy Marker - 2.5 mm ($3.49 at Hobby Lobby)

                                       Premium Tracing Paper Pad (Master's Touch)  9"x12" ($3.99 at Hobby Lobby)

                                       Masking tape

                                       a Moo eraser (available at Hobby Lobby)

                                        Practice sheets and lined paper will be provided.

 

Age limit:                        This class is intended for ages 12 and up. Exceptions can be made for younger students

                                         with good attention spans. 

 

Class Size:                      Minimum of 2 students, maximum of 8
