I John 4:7
In this verse, the words in black ink are in the Chancery Cursive style, and the gold words, "LOVE ONE ANOTHER", in the Uncial style. That phrase is repeated in the New Testament 13 times, so I surrounded this piece with that "new commandment", as Jesus calls it.
Story Behind the Art
Several years ago, I directed a strings group, called "The Lord's Strings", with participants of many ages. A parent of one of the high school students commissioned this piece. Even as this string group was weaving together beautiful music for the glory of God, so the Lord ordains that those who know Him are woven together in Christ's love, so that the world knows we are His disciples.
