I AM
This art work is done with gouache. The seven pictures represent the seven "I AM" statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John, beginning with the Bread of Life in chapter 6 and ending with the True Vine in chapter 15. These statements surround the illustrations. They were lettered with friskit (masking fluid) before the darker shades around the edge were applied. After these shades dried, the friskit was rubbed off.
Story Behind the Art
At Rockwall Bible Church, Pastor Woody loved to encourage folks in evangelism, with many trips to New York City to spread the "Good News" of redemption through Jesus Christ. To give a personal Gospel message, he wrote three tracts himself. This was the cover for the third tract that he wrote.
