He is ABLE
These verses are lettered in modern script. This style is characterized by fluidity of motion with a personal touch. The red words "He is a able . . ." stand out in stark contrast to the black lettering all around. I like to call this a "Scripture Medley".
Story Behind the Art
On my 64th birthday, my daughter, Rachel, gave me a wonderful present. I don't have favorites when it comes to children, but I can have favorite gifts. Rachel blessed me with a gift which by far was my favorite of all the gifts I was given. She totally surprised me by lettering a set of verses that God has used in a powerful way over many years. These are those verses - the "He is ABLE" verses.
I have so often been overcome with my vast inabilities. These verses cancel out the dispare that comes from looking inward at my weakness, and fills me with joy, hope, and strength as I meditate on His ability. II Corinthians 9:8 continues to be one of my favorite verses. Note all the superlatives that describe God's amazing grace!
